About The Position

Delivers rapid, high-acuity emergency care and continuous monitoring to diverse patient populations presenting with acute medical conditions and trauma. Performs rapid triage, primary and secondary trauma assessments, and emergency stabilization procedures in accordance with Level 4 trauma protocols. Administers emergency medications, manages complex IV/IO access, and assists physicians with bedside diagnostic and interventional procedures. Prepares, stabilizes, and coordinates urgent inter-facility transfers for critical trauma and medical patients requiring higher level specialty care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (GN) obtained prior to start date or job transfer date is required-OR-Temporary or Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Texas is required or must be obtained prior to hire or job transfer date-OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition through the Nurse Licensure Compact is required or must be obtained prior to hire or job transfer date.
• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
