About The Position

Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Dialysis team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time day shift opportunity. The Dialysis team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville provides patient-centered care to individuals requiring dialysis and treatment for acute and chronic medical conditions. This role is ideal for a compassionate and detail-oriented nurse who is committed to providing safe, high-quality care, educating patients and families, and advocating for patients throughout their treatment journey.

Requirements

  • Associate of Science in Nursing (required)
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Dialysis nursing experience
  • Experience caring for patients with chronic medical conditions
  • Hospital or acute care nursing experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Certification- ACLS required within 6 months for the Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs
  • PALS required within 1 year of hire for the Free Standing EDs and required within 6 months for WCH ED.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Organize and supervise care provided by supportive personnel
  • Coordinate care provided by ancillary services to support safe and effective patient outcomes
  • Include patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing individualized plans of care
  • Educate patients and families regarding their disease process, treatment, and plan of care
  • Serve as a patient advocate and promote patient safety, dignity, and satisfaction
  • Provide care to patients requiring treatment for medical, surgical, chronic, and other acute conditions
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
  • Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services
  • Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
  • Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
  • Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
