About The Position

Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Dialysis team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time day shift opportunity. The Dialysis team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville provides patient-centered care to individuals requiring dialysis and treatment for acute and chronic medical conditions. This role is ideal for a compassionate and detail-oriented nurse who is committed to providing safe, high-quality care, educating patients and families, and advocating for patients throughout their treatment journey.

Requirements

Associate of Science in Nursing (required)
Licensed Registered Nurse (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)

Nice To Haves

Dialysis nursing experience
Experience caring for patients with chronic medical conditions
Hospital or acute care nursing experience
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Certification- ACLS required within 6 months for the Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs
PALS required within 1 year of hire for the Free Standing EDs and required within 6 months for WCH ED.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Organize and supervise care provided by supportive personnel
Coordinate care provided by ancillary services to support safe and effective patient outcomes
Include patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing individualized plans of care
Educate patients and families regarding their disease process, treatment, and plan of care
Serve as a patient advocate and promote patient safety, dignity, and satisfaction
Provide care to patients requiring treatment for medical, surgical, chronic, and other acute conditions
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services
Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
