About The Position

The registered nurse at BMH supports the philosophy of nursing by planning and coordinating care for a group of patients within their assigned area. The nurse directs ancillary personnel in implementing patients’ plans of care and must have satisfactorily mastered basic skills in the assigned area. Nursing practice focuses on an assigned group of patients and may include charge responsibilities as assigned. The nurse practices within the limits of the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Ethics for nurses, hospital policies and procedures, and Nursing Standards of Practice.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a South Carolina nursing license.
• Current South Carolina RN license.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association, required before the first clinical shift.
• Proficiency in telemetry and rhythm interpretation.

Nice To Haves

• Previous dialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate care for a group of patients within the assigned area.
• Direct ancillary personnel in implementing patients’ plans of care.
• Carry out assigned charge responsibilities.
• Practice in accordance with the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act, nursing ethics, hospital policies and procedures, and Nursing Standards of Practice.
