About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Dialysis at Texas Health Dallas will be responsible for delivering care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process. This includes assessing patients, planning their care, intervening appropriately, evaluating the effectiveness of interventions, and incorporating age-specific safety and infection control measures. The role also involves initiating actions to meet patient and/or significant others' need for information and maintaining continuity of patient care across shifts, hospitals, and during transfers. The dialysis unit is a 6-bed unit serving patients needing acute hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and plasma exchange.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse or completion of nursing residency

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire preferred
