Requirements

  • Must have graduated from an accredited nursing school and successfully completed the State Board of Nursing Licensure Exam
  • Healthcare Provider Level CPR
  • At least one (1) year of current clinical experience in Detox necessary.
  • Must obtain 20 CEU's per year
  • Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public

  • Bachelor Degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Independently provides patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation from admission through transfer or discharge.
  • Works with the interdisciplinary team to provide evidence-based, high quality patient care and safety.
  • Focuses on early treatment and referral to aftercare, for patients with addiction.
  • Provides competent patient care and can be utilized as a resource to other nurses for addiction related patient needs.
