Requirements

  • Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the surgical environment by seamlessly transitioning between scrub and circulating roles, ensuring every complex cardiovascular procedure is executed with precision and safety.
  • Advocate for patient safety through vigilant monitoring and real-time communication, managing the total nursing care journey for patients during their most vulnerable moments.
  • Orchestrate the operative suite by expertly preparing specialized cardiovascular instrumentation and advanced technology, ensuring the team is equipped for success before the first incision.
  • Collaborate as a critical partner to surgeons and anesthesia providers, proactively managing line access and intubation to maintain physiological stability throughout the case.
