About The Position

Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking a CVOR RN for a travel/contract position in Saginaw, MI. This role involves assessing patient needs before and during surgical procedures, maintaining patient safety, developing and implementing patient care plans, documenting care, supervising activities in the operating room, assembling equipment and supplies, assisting anesthesia, monitoring the sterile field, and communicating with patients, families, physicians, the OR team, supervisors/managers, and ancillary departments. The nurse will also complete all charting and documentation in a timely manner according to hospital policies.

Requirements

Registered Nurse: 3 years - Required
3+ Years of RN CVOR or similar experience - Required
OPEN HEART Experience - Required
ASN or an equivalent – Required
RN License for State of MI - Required
BLS Certification from AHA - Required
Candidates must reside beyond a 50-mile radius of the facility location.

Nice To Haves

Recent travel experience - Highly Preferred
BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred

Responsibilities

Responsible for assessing the needs of each patient before and during a surgical procedure, and maintains patient safety.
Assesses the needs of the surgical patient and develops a plan of care specific for that patient.
Implements and evaluates the plan of care during the procedure, and makes necessary adjustments keeping patient safety a priority.
Documents care of patient during surgical procedures.
Supervises activity in the room.
Anticipates and coordinates any schedule changes for the room.
Assembles equipment and supplies.
Assists anesthesia as necessary.
Monitors sterile field.
Communicates with patient, family, physician, OR team, supervisor/manager, and ancillary departments.
Completes all charting and documentation in timely manner for hospital policies.
