About The Position
This is a CVICU RN position working 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00p–7:30a) in a short-term acute care teaching hospital. The role focuses on post-open heart and high-acuity cardiac patients requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management. Floating is required within scope to affiliated hospitals within a 20-mile radius. Block scheduling is not available. The facility follows strict compliance timelines, including time-sensitive pre-start modules. A smoke-free campus policy applies.
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years recent Open Heart ICU experience with ventilator management required.
- 18 months minimum, 2 years preferred.
- Experience with Swans, IABP, Impella, hemodynamics, post-cardiac surgery recovery, and EPIC charting required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required at submission.
- NIHSS must be obtained prior to start.
- Two recent supervisor/manager references required.
- No pending licenses or certifications accepted.
- COVID-19 and flu vaccines required unless exempt.
- Clear license and background required.
- Negative 10-panel drug screen with nicotine (cotinine) required.
Responsibilities
