About The Position
We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cardiovascular critical care, including managing post-operative cardiac patients and working with advanced cardiovascular devices.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required
- Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience
- Experience with cardiovascular devices and CABG recovery
- Must reside 100+ miles from the facility (proof required via driver’s license)
Nice To Haves
- CCRN certification (preferred, not required)
- Experience with fresh post-operative heart recovery
- Experience in Telemetry units
Responsibilities
- Provide critical care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
- Monitor and manage patients recovering from cardiac surgeries, including CABG procedures
- Operate and manage cardiovascular devices and monitoring systems
- Deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
- Float to Telemetry unit as needed (same floor)
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to all clinical protocols
