About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Critical Care Unit at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN. The position is full-time and involves night shifts. The nurse will be responsible for patient-centered care coordination, interdisciplinary collaboration and advocacy, clinical monitoring and execution, and continuity of care and discharge planning.

Requirements

Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

Implement and monitor individualized care plans tailored to unique clinical needs, ensuring all interventions align with the patient’s personal goals and recovery strategy.
Serve as the primary liaison between patients, families, and the care team to facilitate seamless communication and advocate for high-quality, aligned care.
Provide high-standard clinical support by accurately assessing health status, documenting changes, and executing physician orders with precision to support the overall treatment strategy.
Lead comprehensive discharge and transition efforts, empowering patients and their support networks to move confidently toward the next stage of healing.
