About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Critical Care department at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN. The position is part-time, working nights, and offers a sign-on bonus of up to $3,000.00. The nurse will be responsible for patient-centered care coordination, interdisciplinary collaboration and advocacy, clinical monitoring and execution, and continuity of care and discharge planning.

Requirements

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor individualized care plans tailored to unique clinical needs, ensuring all interventions align with the patient’s personal goals and recovery strategy.
• Serve as the primary liaison between patients, families, and the care team to facilitate seamless communication and advocate for high-quality, aligned care.
• Provide high-standard clinical support by accurately assessing health status, documenting changes, and executing physician orders with precision to support the overall treatment strategy.
• Lead comprehensive discharge and transition efforts, empowering patients and their support networks to move confidently toward the next stage of healing.
