About The Position

This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care within a community setting. The Registered Nurse will manage a caseload of clients, administer medications, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals and agencies. Responsibilities include conducting medical evaluations, ensuring adequate supplies, performing tests, and supervising other medical staff. The position requires adherence to established standards of nursing practice and a commitment to continuous quality improvement and safety management.

Requirements

  • Kentucky Registered Nursing license.
  • One year of Registered Nurse experience.
  • Graduation from an Accredited program.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the right experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Transcribe medical provider orders and obtain requested medical information pertaining to clients.
  • Complete medication administration, ensuring accurate dosage and timely delivery, educating clients on side effects, and assisting with preauthorization of prescriptions/medications.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to established standards for nursing practice.
  • Manage a caseload of clients receiving only medication services, when required.
  • Maintain treatment planning and case reviews to determine medical treatment, including after-care plans for clients completing treatment.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, treatment planning sessions, case conferences, supervisory meetings, and clinical seminars, providing information relating to medical care of the client.
  • Conduct case consultations with other agencies regarding programs and services offered, when requested.
  • Ensure adequate laboratory supplies, medical equipment, and medications are available and replenish stock on a timely basis.
  • Administer pregnancy tests and drug screens on clients and document results as needed.
  • Monitor medical equipment and testing per CLIA standards.
  • Conduct emergency evaluations of high-risk clients to determine the level of treatment indicated and arrange for hospitalization, as needed.
  • Provide supervision, as requested, to LPN, MA, and CNA team members.
  • Manage the medical clinics to maximize efficiency and create a positive experience for clients.
