The Community Living Center (CLC) RN will serve as a staff nurse and will evaluate clinical practice and initiate change based on current concepts and findings from research and/or evidence based studies. Duties include (but are not limited to): Performing diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures appropriate to CLC's practice setting; Providing leadership in interpreting, supporting and implementing Medical Center and Nursing Department philosophy, policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and quality improvement processes; Accepting responsibility and maintaining accountability for actions and continued professional and personal growth; Serving as a consultant in clinical practice; Communicating and working effectively with others; Initiating and leading groups of personnel and interdisciplinary groups; Establishing relationships with professional and/or health related groups with the community. We seek RNs who possess: Good organizational skills which enable completion of work; An ability to assume leadership duties; Ability to establish effective communication with residents, families and other members of the interdisciplinary team. The RN should have a working understanding of cultural transformation, creating a home-like environment, a dedication to improving the quality of life for the residents and provide physical, mental, emotional and spiritual support and medical care for residents and/or significant others during the time surrounding death.
