About The Position

The Clinical RN Educator is a registered nurse who provides education on clinical and patient care services to support the hospital’s objectives, mission, and values. The role bridges clinical practice and education, helping staff remain current with best practices, policies, and procedures. The position is full-time, day shift, with an 8-hour schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

Requirements

Current and valid Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and continued maintenance of the certification.
Minimum of 5 years of acute care experience.

Nice To Haves

Critical care experience is preferred; prior critical care experience is strongly preferred for this role.
Minimum of 2 years of previous educational experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver orientation programs for new clinical staff.
Provide ongoing training, in-services, and continuing education on clinical skills, protocols, equipment, and patient care standards.
Serve as a clinical resource to staff during patient care.
Mentor and coach clinical staff in skill development, critical thinking, and decision-making.
Support new graduates and clinical residents during onboarding and their transition to practice.
Help implement new clinical guidelines, hospital policies, and evidence-based practices.
Monitor compliance and provide remediation or education as needed.
Collaborate with leadership on quality improvement and patient safety projects.
Analyze performance data and help develop improvement action plans.
Encourage certifications, advanced degrees, and career growth.
Keep staff informed about changes in healthcare regulations and trends.
