About The Position

Henry Ford Jackson Hospital is a 412 bed, Level II Trauma, Magnet designated organization situated in South Central Michigan, perfectly surrounded by lush golf courses and beautiful lakes, conveniently 40 minutes west of Ann Arbor, 40 minutes south of Lansing, and 40 minutes east of Battle Creek. Join the Clinical Decision Unit (Observation/Short Stay), a 19 bed unit that offers a fast-paced environment with RN autonomy, excellent provider partnerships, and self-scheduling. The role provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire
• Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
