About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Primary Care specialty at Saint Thomas Medical Partners Nashville. The full-time position is scheduled for days. The nurse will champion the patient experience by providing a warm, professional welcome, guiding patients through check-in/out, and ensuring accurate records. They will manage schedules, confirm appointments, and handle medical record requests to keep the clinical team and patients in sync. Additionally, the nurse will assist patients with insurance authorizations, precertifications, co-payments, and billing questions with transparency and empathy. They will also maintain the flow of the office by submitting daily service charges, reconciling deposits, and providing essential clerical support to keep the environment organized and welcoming.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

Provide a warm, professional welcome for every visitor, guiding them through the check-in/out process and ensuring their records are accurate and up-to-date.
Proactively manage schedules, confirm appointments, and handle medical record requests.
Assist patients by verifying insurance authorizations and precertifications ahead of time, then help them navigate co-payments and billing questions with transparency and empathy.
