About The Position

Leave the hospital behind without leaving nursing behind. Join our onsite occupational health team and become a trusted healthcare resource for employees in a dynamic manufacturing environment. In this role, you'll provide first aid and urgent care-style treatment for workplace injuries, support employee wellness initiatives, and partner with Safety teams to help keep employees healthy, safe, and productive.

Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Strong assessment, triage, and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal onsite supervision.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer applications
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Occupational Health, Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Case Management, Industrial Medicine, or Workers' Compensation experience.
  • One or more of the following certifications preferred: American Red Cross (ARC) Instructor, NIOSH-Certified Spirometry Technician, CAOHC Professional Supervisor, Mental Health First Aid, or other relevant occupational health certifications COHN, COHN-S, or related occupational health certification.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first aid, triage, assessment, and treatment for occupational and nonoccupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Respond to workplace medical emergencies and provide appropriate assessment, stabilization, treatment, and coordination of emergency medical services as needed.
  • Evaluate injured employees and guide care using established evidence-based treatment protocols.
  • Document all patient encounters accurately and thoroughly within electronic medical records and company systems.
  • Assist with OSHA recordkeeping activities, including injury and illness documentation, incident tracking, and maintaining records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with workers' compensation and non-work-related injury management and case coordination.
  • Perform reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with company and regulatory requirement
  • Provide health education, coaching, and wellness support to employees.
  • Promote injury prevention healthy lifestyle initiatives, and employee wellness programs, including coordinating travel health visits and related healthcare services.
  • Educate employees on treatment plans, self-care measures, and return-to-work expectations.
  • Support occupational health programs, medical surveillance initiatives, and health screenings in accordance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and client requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, and other stakeholders regarding employee care within appropriate privacy guidelines.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with client leadership and key stakeholders by providing responsive communication, professional consultation, and exceptional service in support of the client's health and safety goals.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by providing compassionate, professional, and timely care to employees while fostering a positive healthcare experience and maintaining a high level of professionalism in all interactions.
  • Collaborate remotely with Medcor Operations Managers, Medical Directors, and clinical support teams.
