Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required OR a bachelors level degree not in nursing, an active RN License, and enrolled in an Alternate Entry Masters of Science in Nursing Program with a minimum of 1 year in the program completed.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one year of inpatient or outpatient clinic nursing experience, with preferred proficiency in the Athena electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the end-to-end prior authorization process and navigating medical necessity appeals.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care by following established clinical protocols to ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and patient well-being.
  • Implement and monitor individualized care plans to actively track patient progress and dynamically adjust interventions based on evolving clinical needs.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care teams as the primary point of contact, ensuring seamless communication across specialties for a holistic patient experience.
  • Execute physician and nursing orders with precision and efficiency, maintaining accurate documentation of the patient's care journey to ensure high-quality records.
  • Lead collaborative discharge planning alongside the healthcare team to guarantee safe, smooth transitions and continuous support for patients returning home.
