About The Position

Coordinates and administers nursing care to patients in a physician office or clinic setting utilizing the nursing process, which involves assessment of the patient’s physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs. Facilitates and evaluates patient follow-through and compliance to healthcare interventions. Complies with all established standards and practices.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• 1 to 3 years of experience
• Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Licensure to be eligible to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin and/or Illinois based on job location assignment.
• The ability to read, write, speak, hear and comprehend the English language.

• Multifaceted communication under a variety of emotional situations.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide ongoing patient care in an outpatient setting; bridge episodic care in a long-term outpatient relationship.
• Assess patient needs via phone and triage to the appropriate level of care for intervention.
• Administer immunizations and medications according to established procedures.
• Facilitate completion of diagnostic testing as ordered by the physician.
• Administer medications in a timely manner, safely and in accordance with policy and procedure.
• Manage staffing needs and adjust staffing as needed to accommodate changes within the physician's practice.
