About The Position

This role involves providing direct supervision and leadership to nursing and support staff, managing performance evaluations, assessing patient needs for care assignments, ensuring quality of care, and resolving patient and family complaints. The position is located in the Acute Inpatient Rehab department at Sacred Heart Rehab in Mequon, WI, with a night shift schedule of 7pm to 7:30am, 36 hours per week.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.
• 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and leadership to all nursing and support staff, including setting expectations, delegation, coaching, and monitoring performance.
• Lead or participate in formal staff performance evaluations, including data gathering, feedback, goal setting, and documentation.
• Assess patient needs daily to develop, communicate, and distribute equitable patient care assignments, matching care level to staff competency.
• Continuously evaluate care effectiveness, identify factors impacting patient outcomes, and initiate quality improvement initiatives.
• Serve as the primary manager for patient and family complaints, ensuring thorough investigation and resolution.
