Travel Registered Nurse Cath Lab Job
About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cath Lab team for a travel temporary assignment at a short-term acute care hospital in Saint Helena, CA. This role involves providing direct nursing care to adults undergoing various Cath Lab procedures, including structural heart, vascular, diagnostic, Impella, ECMO, and emergent cases. The ideal candidate will be proficient in monitoring patient hemodynamics, administering medications, maintaining sterile techniques, and collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary care team. This position offers a 13-week contract with a day shift schedule, including on-call and weekend responsibilities.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required
- Minimum 5 years Cath Lab nursing experience
- Experience must include structural heart, vascular, diagnostic, Impella, ECMO, and emergent cath cases
- EPIC experience required
- Ability to work 2 days per week of on-call and 1–2 weekends per month
- Able to support a day-shift schedule

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to adults undergoing Cath Lab procedures, following the nursing process and established standards of care
- Assist with Cath Lab procedures, including structural heart, vascular, diagnostic, Impella, ECMO, and emergent cath cases
- Monitor patients’ hemodynamics and vital signs during procedures; administer medications as prescribed and reinforce safety protocols
- Collaborate with cardiology, anesthesia, radiology, and other members of the care team; participate in planning and discharge coordination
- Maintain sterile technique and infection control practices; document care in the electronic health record and communicate patient needs to the team
- Provide patient and family education and contribute to ongoing discharge planning and care transitions
