About The Position

This is a full-time Registered Nurse position in the Cath Lab at Baptist Health Princeton Hospital. The role involves four 10-hour shifts with call required. The nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans, providing age-appropriate and evidence-based nursing care, coordinating patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, documenting patient information, demonstrating clinical expertise, and promoting a safe and therapeutic environment. The position also supports professional development and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Baptist Health and unit/department.
• Maintains current State of Alabama RN license.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• 1 year of critical care RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates individualized patient care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provides age-appropriate, evidence-based nursing care while advocating for patients and families.
• Coordinates patient care and appropriately delegates responsibilities to healthcare team members.
• Collaborates with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and leadership to ensure effective patient care and unit operations.
• Documents patient assessments, treatments, medications, education, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Demonstrates clinical expertise, maintains competency in nursing skills and equipment, and serves as a preceptor, educator, or charge nurse as needed.
• Promotes a compassionate, safe, inclusive, and therapeutic environment while upholding patient rights and legal standards.
• Supports professional development, quality improvement initiatives, peer mentoring, organizational goals, and compliance with all policies and procedures.
