Registered Nurse - Casual Pool
About The Position
Mater Private Hospital Redlands is seeking Registered Nurses to join their Casual Pool team. Availability and flexibility are crucial for this role, requiring a minimum of 2 shifts per week on varying shifts across a 24/7 period. This position offers RNs the opportunity to gain valuable experience by being exposed to different areas of the hospital. Mater Private Hospital Redland is an expanding facility with 60 beds, accommodating specialities including orthopaedics, rehabilitation, acute medicine, palliative care, urology, gynaecology, general and breast surgery. The hospital incorporates 2 operating rooms, 1 endoscopy room and a busy Day Procedure Unit, and offers award winning nursing services in an idyllic environment.
Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration Registered Nurse Division 1 (without restriction)
- Flexibility to perform in various wards, adaptability to seamlessly integrate into different teams and work under different nursing managers
- Consistent availability to complete shifts at short notice
- Commitment to excellence in nursing practice and professional development
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
- Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 12 months post graduate nursing experience
Responsibilities
- Provide a high standard of patient-centred nursing care.
- Support patients in the activities of daily living.
- Assist in meeting basic human needs.
- Recognize the normal and abnormal assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patient health and functional status.
- Ongoing communication with VMOs, Allied Health professionals, and team members within the unit.
