About The Position

The IMA Group is seeking experienced RN Case Managers for their Houston team. This is a 1099 independent contractor role focused on workers' compensation cases. The position offers autonomy, a hybrid field-based structure with local travel and remote documentation, and a flexible caseload. The role involves coordinating medical care for injured workers, acting as a liaison between various parties, and focusing on care coordination and recovery outcomes.

Requirements

• Active Texas RN license
• 3+ years of Workers' Comp Field Case Management experience
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Comfort working independently with a flexible caseload
• Proficiency with electronic documentation systems
• Reliable transportation across the greater Houston area
• Malpractice insurance, or the ability to obtain it

Nice To Haves

• CCM, CRRN, or similar certification
• Bilingual candidates

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee medical treatment plans
• Attend appointments and evaluate treatment progression
• Communicate across providers, employers, attorneys, and carriers
• Assess medical necessity and appropriateness of care
• Prepare timely, detailed case management reports
• Support return-to-work and transitional duty planning
• Coordinate IMEs and job site evaluations
