The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care across the lifespan in accordance with organizational standards, policies, and evidence-based practice. The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while delivering high-quality, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered services. The RN collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes, safety, and positive patient experience. Facilitates medical care and medication refills for Behavioral Health/Psychiatry patients, coordinating with physicians, pharmacies, and insurance as needed. Gathers relevant information for prescriber visits. Conducts nursing evaluations, injections, and lab collection as appropriate, and coordinates care plans with primary and specialty providers. Delivers culturally sensitive, evidence-based mental health/SUD nursing care aligned with treatment plans and provides case management for outpatients of all ages. Makes brief patient contacts to educate and reinforce clinician directives, identifies needs for further nursing or case management support, collaborates with medical and behavioral clinicians, and seeks guidance for issues beyond nursing scope.
