Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

  • EP nurse is one that specializes in caring for patients with heart rhythm disorders and will support patient care by way of education, coordination/documentation, scheduling tests, ensuring continuity of care, follow-ups, as well as symptom management.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans by expertly assessing and evaluating symptom trends over the phone, updating the healthcare team, and providing immediate clinical guidance.
  • Execute physician and nursing orders with precision, acting as the vital link between the Cardiology team and the patient to ensure treatment plans are followed accurately at home.
  • Coordinate seamless care transitions by managing discharge planning and providing specialized education on heart health, medication adherence, and post-procedural recovery.
  • Lead clinical triage by utilizing advanced cardiac assessment skills to determine the safest and most effective level of care for patients experiencing cardiovascular symptoms.
