About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Surgical Stepdown PCU department at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola. The position is part-time, working nights with a schedule of 2x12s from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The nurse will implement and monitor patient care plans, monitor and record patient conditions, serve as a primary coordinator for patient care across disciplines, carry out physician and nursing orders, and assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
At least a year of acute care bedside experience
Prior PCU experience

Responsibilities

Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
