About The Position

Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Cardiovascular Surgical Stepdown PCU. This is a part-time night position, working two 12-hour shifts from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Ascension is a leading nonprofit Catholic health system committed to providing compassionate and personalized care. Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

• At least a year of acute care bedside experience
• Prior PCU experience

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
