The D4 Cardiovascular Surgical Step-Down Team provides care for patients after Cardiac and Vascular Surgery. Our team is nationally recognized in the top 10% of Cardiac Surgery Programs. Our elite staff delivers care in a team-based approach that includes the management of antiarrhythmic continuous medications, advanced respiratory modalities, temporary pacemakers, chest tubes and more! Our team offers specialized classes to ensure confidence and competence in EKG-interpretation (Class 1 Telemetry), emergency scenarios, peritoneal dialysis, and utilization of advanced modalities previously mentioned. D4 offers flexible self-scheduling that allows for work/life balance while meeting the needs of the unit. We offer a robust full-time orientation that includes consistent preceptors, leadership check-ins, and experiences including operating room shadows for our service line! RN roles range from direct patient care to supervisory or consultative services in various settings within our network.
