Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Progressive Care
About The Position
Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN is looking for an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Progressive Care team and make a difference for our patients and our community. We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. The Cardiovascular Progressive Care unit is a 24-bed progressive & telemetry unit that has medical and surgical Cardiothoracic and vascular patient populations. This includes patients who have experienced acute cardiac and vascular events such as myocardial infarction, undergone open-heart surgery, and those requiring surgical or interventional strategies to restore circulation.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experience
- Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
- CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
- Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
Nice To Haves
- BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
- One year of acute care RN experience is preferred
Responsibilities

- Participating as an effective unit and nursing department member
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other health care team members across the organization
