About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking passionate, experienced nurses to join their Cardiovascular Critical Care (CVCC) team. This is a part-time (0.6 FTE) position on the night shift. The CVCC unit, a 34-bed facility, specializes in caring for patients who have undergone open heart surgery, CABG, valve and aortic aneurysm repair, heart and lung transplants, VADs, peripheral vascular surgeries, and ECMO. The unit houses the state's only lung transplant program. Nurses on this unit are expected to provide compassionate, excellent clinical care. The position currently qualifies for additional hourly wage differentials (shift, holiday) and a relocation bonus, with more details to be provided during the interview process. The unit has received accolades such as a VAD Certificate of Distinction, Gold Award for ECMO Center of Excellence, and has had multiple DAISY Award winners. Approximately 30% of CVCC nurses hold certifications. The unit fosters a supportive learning environment with a Clinical Advisor for real-time education and leadership presence on both day and night shifts.

Requirements

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

• Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities
