About The Position

Via Christi St Francis is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Cardiothoracic ICU in Wichita, KS. This PRN position involves leading patient care journeys by implementing and evolving personalized care plans, championing multidisciplinary collaboration, advocating for patient safety and recovery by monitoring health status and communicating critical changes, and empowering patients for life beyond the hospital by coordinating discharge plans. Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
Cardiothoracic ICU Expertise: A minimum of 1 year of recent, hands-on experience in a dedicated Cardiothoracic ICU Unit.

Advocate for patient safety and recovery by monitoring health status and communicating critical changes to the care team in real-time.
Empower patients for life beyond the hospital by strategically coordinating discharge plans that ensure a safe, supported transition back to their community.
