About The Position

The CardioThoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) is a 20-bed intensive care unit where we care for many complex medical problems including open-heart surgery, aneurysm repair, and heart and lung transplant. We have PT/OT 7 days a week, 2 Respiratory Therapists on the unit at all times, APP team coverage until 2300 and an attending MD for 24/7 coverage. Requirements

Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice.
Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.
Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients.
1 year of RN experience required
Minimum of Diploma/Associate’s Degree in nursing from accredited program.
Registered nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio.
Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
