About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Cardiology Clinic at Ascension Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, OK. The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. The nurse will be responsible for triaging patients, assisting with diagnostics and procedures, educating patients on chronic disease management, and coordinating care between patients and the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing required.
Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

Cardiac or Cardiology experience a plus
3+ years of RN experience preferred

Responsibilities

Rapidly evaluate and triage both in-person and telephone-based patient needs, assessing cardiovascular status and responding to acute changes to prevent unnecessary hospital readmissions.
Facilitate daily clinic visits by preparing patients for examinations and performing, interpreting, and documenting EKG/ECG tracings and assisting with stress tests.
Lead chronic disease management counseling—including heart failure education, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications—to improve patient outcomes and self-care.
Serve as a central point of contact between patients, cardiologists, and the multidisciplinary care team to manage prescription refills, ensure smooth clinic workflow, and guarantee continuity of care.
