About The Position

IU Health is seeking expert Registered Nurses with a minimum of one year of RN experience to join their Cardiology Ambulatory Triage RN team. The position involves serving as a vital clinical resource for a high-volume department supporting 24 cardiology providers. Key responsibilities include answering live incoming calls, triaging patients according to protocols, communicating abnormal test results under physician direction, conducting in-office nurse triage visits, and advocating for patients. This is a PRN, day shift position, with clinic hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of RN experience
  • Associates of Nursing (ASN)
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
  • Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program (exceptions may be considered for candidates with more than two years of relevant clinical experience, subject to CNO review and approval)
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
  • Awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse
  • May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction
