About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse in Cardiology Ambulatory Triage, with both part-time and full-time roles eligible for a $30,000 sign-on bonus and referral eligibility. The role requires a minimum of one year of RN experience. This specific role is a full-time, day shift position within the Cardiology Ambulatory Triage RN team, serving as a vital clinical resource for a high-volume department supporting 24 cardiology providers. Clinic hours are 8-5pm, Monday-Friday. Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of RN experience
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN)
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program (exceptions may be considered with more than two years of relevant clinical experience, subject to CNO approval)
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
  • May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction
  • Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies

Responsibilities

  • Answer live incoming calls using nursing judgment to triage appropriately per IU Health and departmental protocols
  • Communicate abnormal test results with physician direction
  • Conduct in‑office nurse triage visits
  • Act as a strong patient advocate between providers and patients
