About The Position

The Med-Surg Cardiac Unit at Aurora BayCare Medical Center (ABMC) is a 16-bed unit specializing in the care of cardiac, telemetry, pulmonary, and bariatric surgical patients. It is located on the 3rd floor of the inpatient wing and includes central telemetry monitoring capabilities. Each room is equipped with bedside monitors for real-time heart rhythm visualization, vitals integration into the electronic medical record, and ceiling lifts in several rooms to assist with patient mobilization. RNs on the unit are ACLS certified, proficient in telemetry interpretation, and trained in cardiac drip administration and monitoring. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Telemetry and ACLS within 6 months of hire.
