About The Position

Conemaugh Physicians Group, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Cardiac Rehabilitation team. This is a full-time position with a consistent Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM schedule, totaling 37.5 hours per week, with no evenings, weekends, or holidays. The role involves supporting clinical operations in a busy, collaborative cardiology practice. Responsibilities include managing patient communications (nurse line and MyChart), coordinating procedures like cardiac catheterizations and TEEs, refilling medications, assisting with minor wound care, and placing physician orders. The RN will also partner with the Cath Lab for procedure coordination and scheduling. Requirements

  • Current state RN license
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school
  • Minimum of three years’ experience
  • BCLS and ACLS (within one year)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in acute cardiac care preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of venipuncture, injections and phlebotomy

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates, plans and administers nursing care to patients in office settings as ordered by physicians
  • Under direction of physician performs nursing assessment. EKGs, holter monitors or administers IV meds as ordered
  • Provides prescribed medication or treatment and helps physician during exams/treatment
  • Reports patient status, refers problems when necessary and anticipates situations that prevent/minimize adverse outcomes or less than optimal outcomes
  • Monitors and records patient condition and outcomes and notifies physician when appropriate
  • Maintains advanced clinical cardiovascular skills.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to achieve outcome.
  • Works with Medical Director of clinic to establish goals to achieve desired outcomes; implements plan of care and evaluates patient response.
  • Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability and ability to change in a dynamic environment
  • Manages patient communications (nurse line and MyChart)
  • Coordinates procedures such as cardiac catheterizations and TEEs
  • Refills medications
  • Assists with minor wound care
  • Places physician orders
  • Partners closely with the Cath Lab to coordinate procedures and maintain scheduling
