About The Position

They commonly support patients worried about risk for heart disease or recovering from a heart event. Cardiac rehabilitation services include a fitness program to strengthen heart health, nutrition counseling, psychological counseling, weight management, stress management, smoking cessation, diabetes education, and support groups.

Requirements

• Current Kentucky or compact state RN license
• Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• Associate’s degree in nursing
• Critical care experience

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing

Responsibilities

• Works in collaboration with the nurses and exercise physiologists in the Cardio Pulmonary Rehabilitation program to care for patients with recent cardiac or pulmonary events.
• Assists with the patient process flows, such as cardiac telemetry monitoring, vital signs, patient education, patient assessment, maintaining exercise prescriptions for the patient, setting exercise machines, etc.
• Assists in cleaning/sanitizing/maintaining equipment.
• Attends in-services as required for position.
• Assists in maintaining logs as needed.
