About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Cardiac Medical-Surgical for a direct-hire opportunity in Panama City, FL. This role involves performing comprehensive physical and cardiovascular nursing assessments, administering cardiac medications, monitoring patients, educating patients and families, and ensuring compliance with facility policies and nursing regulations. The position supports post-operative recovery and ongoing cardiac care management.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Registered Nurse Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
  • Active Florida Registered Nurse License or Multi-State Compact License.
  • BLS Certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
  • Minimum 1 year of Acute Care RN experience.
  • Acute care experience within the last 3 years, or within the last 5 years with extensive RN experience.
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to safely manage cardiac telemetry and post-intervention recovery patients.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous cardiac, telemetry, or medical-surgical nursing experience.
  • Experience working in acute care hospital environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical and cardiovascular nursing assessments and report changes in patient status.
  • Administer prescribed cardiac medications and monitor therapeutic responses and vital signs.
  • Execute and document clinical procedures in accordance with provider orders and nursing standards.
  • Monitor telemetry and cardiac patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately.
  • Anticipate and address patient comfort and medical needs to support positive outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
  • Advocate for patient safety and coordinate care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Support post-operative recovery and ongoing cardiac care management.
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, patient safety standards, and nursing regulations.
