The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory is dedicated to providing top quality care to the patients we serve. We perform a full complement of invasive and interventional cardiovascular procedures including coronary interventions, vascular interventions, cardiac rhythm management devices and electrophysiology procedures.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
Health care provider certification (BCLS).

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred.
One to two (1-2) years Critical Care, Cardiology Experience or Emergency Department experience.
One year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, specifically
ACLS

Responsibilities

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care.
Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients and families.
Delegate, supervise, and document nursing care and patient/family education.
Communicate pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team.
Participate in finding and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals.
