About The Position

Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Cardiac Cath Lab at Anderson Hospital. This role involves delivering patient care using the nursing process, including data collection, assessment, identifying patient needs, and evaluating care outcomes. The RN will also coordinate patient teaching and collaborate with health team members. The position requires a compassionate, relationship-based approach to patient care, integrating quality improvement and evidence-based practices. The nurse will be accountable for professional actions and effective stewardship of resources, with skills in conflict management and resilience. This is a full-time position with a 40-hour work week, typically scheduled for days/afternoons.

Requirements

  • Valid nursing license from the state of practice
  • Associate of Nursing, nursing OR Diploma in Nursing
  • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment.
  • Identifies and determines the priority of patient’s problems/needs.
  • Evaluates the process and outcome of nursing care.
  • Coordinates, provides, and directs patient teaching activities.
  • Coordinates the care provided by health team members.
  • Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
  • Administers medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and Bon Secours Mercy Health policies and procedures.
  • Serves as a point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments.
  • Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
  • Incorporates the professional practice model into care delivery.
