This position is in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, which specializes in cardiac catheterization, vascular and structural heart procedures, and electrophysiology. Procedures performed in our lab include: Angiograms (peripheral, iliac, mesenteric and renal) with intervention, Catheter-directed thrombolysis for pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis, Central line placement, Complex chronic total occlusion, Emergency care, Fistulagram, Left and right heart catheterizations with percutaneous intervention, IMPELLA heart pump placement and replacement, Inferior vena cava filter placement and removal, Intra-aortic balloon pump placement and removal, Intracoronary ultrasound, Left atrial appendage closure, and Rotational and orbital atherectomy, Valve replacement. Nurses in this unit grow in their professional practice, gaining critical skills for the complex care of cardiovascular patients. The team approach is a key aspect, where providers and nurses work closely together to deliver exceptional patient care. This position is part of a team-driven atmosphere with opportunities to be part of the newest innovations and have a direct impact on patient health by working alongside physicians. On top of regular hours, this position requires 1 on-call shift per week, every 5th weekend, and 1-2 holidays per year.
