About The Position

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. This position is in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, which specializes in cardiac catheterization, vascular and structural heart procedures, and electrophysiology. Procedures performed in our lab include: Angiograms (peripheral, iliac, mesenteric and renal) with intervention, Catheter-directed thrombolysis for pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis, Central line placement, Complex chronic total occlusion, Emergency care, Fistulagram, Left and right heart catheterizations with percutaneous intervention, IMPELLA heart pump placement and replacement, Inferior vena cava filter placement and removal, Intra-aortic balloon pump placement and removal, Intracoronary ultrasound, Left atrial appendage closure, and Rotational and orbital atherectomy, Valve replacement. Nurses in this unit grow in their professional practice, gaining critical skills for the complex care of cardiovascular patients. The team approach is a key aspect, where providers and nurses work closely together to deliver exceptional patient care. This position is part of a team-driven atmosphere with opportunities to be part of the newest innovations and have a direct impact on patient health by working alongside physicians. On top of regular hours, this position requires 1 on-call shift per week, every 5th weekend, and 1-2 holidays per year.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

Benefits
