Nurses on this unit provide care for patients undergoing bone marrow transplants and stem cell infusions, managing various stages of their treatment, recovery, or end-of-life care. The unit participates in cancer research programs as part of the Mayo Cancer Center. The role involves direct patient care, patient/family education, and care transitions, adhering to the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model and ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice. Nurses are expected to provide leadership, delegate care, and possess strong communication, mentoring, and teaching skills. Some employees may be required to drive their personal vehicle. This role is eligible for TN sponsorship.
