Registered Nurse Behavioral Health - 24 hours, Nights
About The Position
The Behavioral Health Registered Nurse provides physical, emotional, and psychological support to patients with various mental health conditions and assists other nursing staff in coordinating care for this patient population. The nurse participates in a multidisciplinary health care team and acts as a clinical resource to other staff. This is a 24-hour-per-week position with scheduled hours of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The schedule includes every other holiday and every third weekend. The stated hiring range is $37.75–$79.52 based on a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week; part-time or reduced-schedule compensation is prorated based on scheduled hours and other listed factors. A signing bonus may be available; eligibility will be confirmed during the interview process.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing for Registered Nurses.
- Current RN license in Massachusetts.
- Current CPR certification.
- At least 1 year of experience providing care to Behavioral Health patients.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of experience in Emergency Care.
Responsibilities
- Assess and document patients’ physical, psychological, and social needs using professional judgment.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and communicate individualized care plans.
- Provide individualized care, use de-escalation techniques, and serve as a resource for psychiatric medication management.
- Evaluate and adjust care plans based on patient response and team input.
- Prioritize tasks effectively in dynamic and emergency situations.
- Direct care team members and implement problem-solving strategies.
