About The Position

The Vines Hospital, affiliated with Universal Health Services, is a premier behavioral health facility located in Ocala, FL. It offers individualized mental health and addiction treatment to adults and adolescents in a secure and private setting, including partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs, acute psychiatric, detox, and PTSD treatment. The hospital is situated in picturesque Marion County, FL, known as the Horse Capital of the World, offering various outdoor activities and proximity to Florida's attractions and metropolitan areas. We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional mental health care. This role is crucial in supporting the mission to deliver compassionate and effective healthcare services. The RN participates in treatment planning as a member of an interdisciplinary team, assesses patients’ psychiatric and medical status, administers medication and medical treatment as prescribed by a physician, assesses, directs, and intervenes in crisis situations, and provides and directs milieu management, along with additional tasks as needed. Ideal candidates for this position will have behavioral health experience, a strong work ethic, and highly consistent timeliness and attendance. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Nursing required.
  • Licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to relate to those emotionally disturbed and in crisis.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in the mental health field preferred.
  • Behavioral health experience.
  • A strong work-ethic.
  • Highly consistent timeliness and attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to patients.
  • Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
  • Participate in crisis intervention as needed.
  • Uphold compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
