About The Position

The Registered Nurse Behavioral Health role is based at Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, in the Behavioral Health department. The position is part time on the day shift. The nurse conducts initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments, develops personalized nursing care plans aligned with each patient's master treatment plan, and collaborates with the treatment team to set and refine goals and care strategies. The nurse implements care plans, leads or co-leads group therapy sessions, evaluates patient responses, and works with colleagues to update plans and interventions as patients' needs change.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse credential required before the hire date or job transfer date.
• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of the hire date or job transfer date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross credentials are accepted.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments using nursing standards.
• Create personalized care plans aligned with each patient's master treatment plan.
• Participate in treatment team conferences to establish and refine patient goals, objectives, and care strategies.
• Implement nursing care plans for assigned patients.
• Lead or co-lead group therapy sessions.
• Evaluate patients' responses to care and collaborate with colleagues to update plans and interventions.
