About The Position

Ascension Saint Joseph Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Adult Psychiatry Nursing Unit. This full-time, night shift position involves providing direct nursing care to behavioral health patients, conducting biopsychosocial assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and participating in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings. The role includes implementing nursing interventions, co-leading therapeutic group sessions, and evaluating patient responses to adjust care.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to behavioral health patients in compliance with facility policies and professional standards of practice.
Conduct initial and ongoing biopsychosocial assessments and develop, implement, and revise individualized nursing plans of care aligned with the master treatment plan.
Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings to plan, implement, and adjust age-appropriate and problem-specific goals, interventions, and objectives.
Implement nursing interventions, co-lead therapeutic group sessions, and evaluate patient responses to adjust care based on changes in patient status.
