About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Care Coordination Command Center at St. Vincent in Indianapolis, IN. The position is part-time with a rotating schedule. The nurse will be responsible for managing the bed board, assigning beds to overnight patients, and working with all units and their leadership. This is a non-bedside role. The nurse will also implement and monitor patient care plans, monitor and communicate patient conditions, serve as a primary coordinator for all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, note and carry out physician and nursing orders, and assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
At least 2 years experience as a bedside RN

Nice To Haves

prior ED, ICU, and/or bed placement experience preferred

Responsibilities

Work the bed board and assign the beds to all patients who stay overnight.
Placement Nurses work with all units and their leadership, Non bedside role.
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
