Maternity services include a birthing suite, antenatal education, childbirth and parenting classes, and postnatal community midwifery visits. Residential aged care is available at the hospital and Southern Flinders Health, offering high-level care and respite options.
Requirements
- Registration or eligibility for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Undergo employment screening.
- Meet immunisation requirements.
Responsibilities
- Deliver 24/7 accident and emergency care.
- Provide general medical and surgical care, including plastic surgery.
- Offer same-day stays and short-term care.
- Manage inpatient and outpatient services and patient transport.
- Provide obstetrics and palliative care.
- Operate day therapy centres and Meals on Wheels.
- Conduct parenting and family education programs.
- Offer personal and planned care for older people, including respite services.
- Manage maternity and obstetrics services, including a birthing suite with shared care arrangements.
- Provide antenatal education, childbirth and parenting classes.
- Conduct postnatal community midwifery visits.
- Provide residential aged care at the hospital and Southern Flinders Health.
- Offer high-level care and respite options for older people.
